- Titled, “ Drinking Secularism: A Critique of Shahab Ahmed’s What is Islam,” I delivered the Roy Rappaport distinguished lecture for the Society for the Anthropology of Religion (of American Anthropological Association) bi-annual conference held at the University of Victoria, Canada in the summer of 2023.
- Invited to deliver the TED-X talk by the University of Göttingen, Germany 2019
- Invited by UNDP, Oslo, in 2016 to give a talk on preventing violent extremism.
